What a whirlwind year it’s already been! We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: We are now a registered charity which will enable us to seek wider opportunities and recognition for our members.
We feel this celebrates and recognises what we do for the young people in our community.
Seahaven Business Awards Finalists:
We were honoured to be finalists at the Seahaven Business Awards at the Amex Stadium in May and… We WON the President’s Award for Artistic Enterprise!
Amazing Performances:
Festival season has started with a bang with everyone performing amazingly at Elderflowerfields festival.
From the incredible group performances on the Dragonfly stage to the solo performances on the acoustic stage, we were so proud of each and every young person who was able to take part. We were especially delighted to see some of our newer members get up onto the stage and perform with such style and confidence.
This first amazing family festival was a great opportunity to launch our festival season and set us up for what is bound to be a really exciting year for all of our members.We have also had some great performances at Gather in Eastbourne shopping centre, Eastbourne Youth Market (which was so popular we had to pause the show as we blocked the whole of the market !) And our hometown gig at Seaford Motorfest to name but a few.
Upcoming Events:
We’re super excited for our upcoming performance at “The Child of Sussex Awards” for More Radio, as well as Steampunk Festival, RNLI Festival, and Arundel Festival. There will be more to follow….
We’ve already started preparations for our annual showcase in November! We will be announcing our theme very soon. It is wonderful to hear that a large number of our members are now performing at different local events including Seaford Head “Battle of the Bands”, Seaford Rotarians musician of the year and local fairs.
The confidence continues to grow!
